The Art Of Mid-Range Attacks; Part One
Note=The numbers next to letters are way to explain input commands for a character . Players use the keypad in a keyboard to explain movement in a D+pad or joystick. So, 4P means "Back+punch" 2K means, "Down+Kick" And 8P means "Up+punch"
Wolf has a great arsenal of Mid-Range attacks that are both powerful, and devastating to your opponent that would keep them guessing in a daze. Wolf's mid-kick attack(3k) is quick and powerful move form Wolf. Once it connects, it will knock your opponent down, no matter who that character is, and it puts you in a position to start a good guessing game against your opponent. Wolf's knee is a good way to close the gap and is very dangerous move as well. If your opponent even blocks the move, you could even dodge right afterwards if they try to attack, or you could "ETEG"just in case they try to throw you(ETEG-Evade throw, Evade guard..Is a tactic done by advance players were they include a throw command while side-stepping at the same time, and also including a block once the animation is over. I'll include a more detail post in the future about this tactic)
When the Knee connects as a regular hit, the opponent doesn't get knockdown, but they get in a state very similar to a stagger, but not really. Put it like this, you could engage in a couple of things here, because usually players go into blocking state once they get hit by this attack, not all, but some. So gambling on a throw usually works. If you think they're going to attack, a good 63214P, P(double elbow) is a good way to punish them. But remember, a good player could apply ETEG, but is good to keep this tactic under consideration.
But, if it connects as a counter-hit, it would sort of crumbles the opponent to the ground. You enter a ground grab if you desire, like he's 3P+G or 2P+G. Some players expects the 3P+G right away, so be aware of this. That's it for part one on Mid-Range attacks. Next time I will go into details on Wolfs 4K(One of the Most useful and safest attacks he has) and the shoulder attack(46 P+K).

Road to KING
Starting this month, the analysis on Wolf would be highly written and discuss. On my predictable setups and weakness that I'm aware of. And my strength that I should keep focusing on. As a 9th Dan Wolf player(As of now) a couple of old habits should be laid to rest and new ones should be highly incorporated(ETEG) The road to excellence starts NOW!
